Life Coach Training - September 2010 REGISTRATION CLOSES SEPTEMBER 6TH

We offer two sessions (Group 1 and Group 2) with a maximum of 25 students per class. Training includes instruction in Martha Beck coaching techniques, coaching practicum and in setting up a coaching practice.

Training emphasizes coaching effectively and thriving financially as a coach in today’s rapidly changing economic environment.

Our remote-learning coach training is an extensive, rigorous telecourse program taught by Martha Beck and her Master Certified Coaches.  The course is designed for prospective Martha Beck Certified Coaches, coaches who are certified by other programs, and other professionals who would like to receive training in Martha’s life-coaching methods to enhance their own work.  All classes are held over the phone, which makes them convenient and easily accessible.  Verbal coaching methods are additionally beneficial since the majority of Martha Beck Certified coaches conduct their client sessions by phone.

What’s unique about Martha Beck Life Coach Training?
At the heart of Martha Beck’s coaching philosophy is the idea that our clients have the keys to their right lives—not us. Our job as coaches is to help them access what’s true for them using tools and inquiry, rather than advice-giving. We find the illogical and limiting beliefs that hold people back from leading the life they want, help them remove these mental barriers so they can tap into their own inner motivation and wisdom, and help them make their Wildly Improbable Goals (WIGs) reality.  We also believe in results. As Martha says, “If you’ve spent more than ten minutes talking to a client and you haven’t changed that client’s life for the better, you’re not a Martha Beck coach.” We teach you the tools that allow you to elicit these kinds of results for your clients. And we think that’s pretty cool stuff.

The life coach training telecourse will span a total of 32 weeks, and includes the following:
 
Pre-work: 
Includes assigned reading (three books, one article) and a comprehensive homework packet with exercises to be completed before the beginning of the course.
 
Six (90 minute) intensive coaching courses taught by Martha Beck:
These courses will teach you the most powerful elements of Martha's Change-Cycle based coaching methodology and how to use them.  Each class includes a follow-along outline and supporting documentation for all the tools and techniques covered during class. After each class, you will be given homework that allows you to put the concepts you learned into action.  You'll also use the tools you learned in the “coach-the-coach” practicum classes. Martha’s classes are interspersed throughout the 7-month program allowing you time to absorb and put each concept into practice before the next class.

NEW! All of Martha’s classes have been filmed and will now be presented via streaming video in addition to her tele-classes. The calls will be in-depth sessions with Martha allowing students to delve deeper into the work and for Martha to answer questions, demonstrate tools and spot-coach students.

Twelve (75 minute) "Coaching Practicum" taught by Master Certified Martha Beck Coaches:
The practicum classes allow you to practice and master the skills and tools taught in Martha's classes, and receive real-time feedback from the master coach instructor and your peers.

Martha Beck Life Coach Training Handbook and Workbook:
Includes supplemental class materials along with extensive coaching tools along with a Question Sheet to use just in case you run into a difficult issue while coaching.
 
All classes are recorded and downloadable: 
All coaches will be included in an extensive online learning site that includes all course materials, class schedule, supplemental materials and an online private discussion forum.  Each coach will be responsible for leading at least one forum discussion.
 
NEW! In-person weekend “Meet & Greet” optional workshop with Martha Beck and Master Coaches:
The Meet & Greet weekend is your opportunity to meet Martha, some of your instructors, and your “tribe-mates” in person. The first day is spent with Martha sharing her latest research and tools, and helping you put them into practice. The second day is a business-building or coaching skill-building workshop conducted by Master coaches—topics are customized based on class feedback. 
The Meet & Greet is an optional part of the program, and is not required for certification. The Meet & Greet takes place in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6th-7th, 2010.  While the attendance fee is included in your tuition, students are required to pay their airfare, hotel and some food costs.
 

Option for Certification: 
If you wish to become a Martha Beck Certified Coach you will go through our certification process which includes documentation of 20 paid coaching hours or 75 unpaid coaching hours, a written test, and a final interview with Martha.  The Certification process is designed to assess your coaching experience, test your knowledge of the Martha Beck life coaching system and evaluate your ability to provide effective life coaching using this system.  Our coaches will be held to the highest standard and may require additional training if criteria for certification is not met.  Once you've completed the Certification process, you'll know that you are an effective Martha Beck Life Coach….and so will we!  Certification is optional and is not automatic or guaranteed.
 
 All coaches who are granted certification receive:
•    Martha Beck Certified logo to place on their marketing materials and website.
•    Access to the Martha Beck Certified Coaches Forum. 
•    Access to free quarterly continuing education classes.
•    A certified coach listing on Martha Beck's website
•    A personalized testimonial from Martha and the Master Certified Coaches who worked directly with them.
•    More… we’re always thinking of new cool things to offer coaches.
 
 
The coach training investment is $6000.

If you are interested in being certified, there is an additional investment of $775. 

Training is offered up to four times per year (January, March, June & September).  Class size is limited to 25 people.  Full tuition is due at time of enrollment and will insure your place in the program.
 
Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
